by Vas Sun also rules the eyes. So was right assuming it had something related to the sun in the last race. Got 1 right and almost another. Quote Thu Jun 21, 2018 6:47 am

by Vas Does anyone know where to obtain the horse racing weights? I've looked on here and gives no information on the weights: https://www.sportinglife.com/racing/rac ... '-group-3) Quote Fri Jun 22, 2018 6:31 am
by john Hi Vas It is a Group race, rather than a Handicap race (a higher grade of race). The horses run off equal weights. You will see next to their names 9.0, which is the same weight for each of the horses. Good luck today. C'est la vie, say astrologers, goes to show you never can tell. Quote Fri Jun 22, 2018 7:24 am
by skyrack The last two races today at Ascot are Handicaps with differing weights. Quote Fri Jun 22, 2018 8:49 am
by Vas Thanks john and skyrack. I'll use addey method for today. 2.30: -Byron Bay 15.05: -Elector (5th cusp is sextile Pluto in Capricorn). 15.40: -invincible army - or Sioux nation - or Sands of Mali 16.20 -Coeur De Beaut 17.00 -Poetic Charm (5th cusp trine mercury) 17.35: -Fire fighting - or Crowned Eagle Quote Fri Jun 22, 2018 1:34 pm
by Vas 17.35 Royal Ascot Using Sepharical eclipsed method: The significatior is pof which is closet to a cusp which is 26pisces. https://www.sportinglife.com/racing/rac ... tions-race The top weight: 100 (10.0) The bottom weight: 89? (8.9) So the scale is 18 (10 + eight) So 26(measure) + 18 /90 = 2.0 rounded off Which gives fun mac or Closely caught which is closet to the weight for the potential winners. I hope someone can correct me please. Quote Sat Jun 23, 2018 7:27 am
by skyrack Top weight is 9st10lbs. 1st=14lbs. Bottom weight is 8st11lbs. Scale is 1st(14lbs) - 1lb = 13lbs. For Sepaharial the PoF should be calculated from the cusp of the 1st House, using Equal Midheaven houses, and not the true Ascendant. Sepharial wrote: Setting the Figure This is extremely simple. It consists merely in finding the degree that is on the Midheaven at the schedule or program time of a race. The other cusps of the houses willhold the same degree and the signs will be equally disposed throughout the circle. Thus if Leo 23 were on the Midheaven then Scorpio 23 would be rising. The Sun and Moon are placed in the figure to the nearest degree. The Part of Fortune is also placed in the figure. It is calculated thus: From the longitude of the Moon (expressed in signs and degrees) adding 12 signs if necessary for subtraction, take the longitude of the Sun and add the longitude of theAscendant. The result is the longitude in signs and degrees counted from Aries 0, of the Part of Fortune, called Fortuna. MC = 08VIR PoF = 11SCO - 02CAN + 08VIR + 90 = 17ARI Moon is nearest a cusp and the Significator. Measure = 27 Proportion = 13 / 2 * 27 / 90 = 1.95 or 2lbs rounded. Converse weights do not apply here so 2lbs from top weight and 5lbs rounded from bottom weight are the indications. There is no horse carrying 9st8 but 8 runners carrying 9st2. Too many to dutch so move on... Quote Sat Jun 23, 2018 9:34 am
by skyrack In the previous race, bottom weight is 9-1 less 5lbs jockey allowance = 8-10 so scale = 14. Sun is Significator and Measure = 33. Proportion = 7 * 33 / 90 = 2.566 or 3lbs rounded. Converse weights do not apply here so 3lbs from top weight and 4lbs from bottom weight are the indications. Mr Lupton is carrying 9.7 and #23-25 carring 9.0. 4.79 dutch available. 24 by Vas Thank you very much skyrack for this explanation. When you state: 1st = 14lbs, do you give a 5lbs allowance from the top and bottom weights added together? How did you obtain 1st = 14lbs please? Quote Sat Jun 23, 2018 2:07 pm
