Middlesbrough vs. Norwich English Championship Playoff Final

Middlesborough vs Norwich
25th May 2015
15:00 Wembley, England

The Championship playoff final is probably the biggest game in club football, anywhere. Real Madrid earned ?46M for winning the Champions League last season but the winner of today's game stand to trouser an eye-watering ?120 Million for winning promotion to the Premiere League.

Norwich are slight favourites to be promoted @5/6 with Boro @10/11. The actual match betting have both teams at 7/4 to win in normal time. There's very little between them judging by their final league positions - Norwich finished with a better goal difference and 1 more point than Boro. But Boro have beaten Norwich twice this season, 4-0 at home and 0-1 away at Norwich. I'm rooting for Boro today as Mrs. Astrogooner's father played for them at rightback back in the day and was eventually replaced in the side by the then future England manager Don Reevie, would you believe.

When using the Moon as the flow of events, it's difficult to get an accurate time on the goal action, because it's impossible to know how much time will be added on at the end of the first half. With that in mind, I'll post a 2nd half update at half time.

For the 1st half, the Moon squares the Sun at 21mins into the game - expect some significant goal action around this time!

Ist Half

Both sides hit the bar in the 8th and 9th mins - just before the 6? of ephemeral movement for the flow of events squared the Sun to within 1? of orb.

Norwich scored their 1st goal at 11mins - when the Moon was at 03?Virgo14' - 49'mins of arc away from exactitude - or 11mins inside the 1? orb to the Sun. The 2nd goal was scored when the Moon was at 03? Virgo 26' of ephemeral movement.

2nd Half

Following the same pattern as the 1st half - The Moon arrives within a degree of orb to Mars in the 57th minute.

Goal for Boro?
