Chocolates for a friend 1 by Serene Hi all.So I made some chocolates at home and sent them to a friend for her birthday. She likes these homemade sweets a lot. I tasted one of them and to be honest it did not turn out as good as it generally turns up So I wish to make a horary and ask if she wiill like them or if I made a blunder by sending them. Which house would show the chocolates? Radical 5th? I will pull up a chart later. Quote Sat Jul 13, 2019 1:07 pm
2 by Tanit3333 Hi Serene - Deb says gifts (to you) are 5th, so I would more likely look at the turned 5th. However, the chart as a whole should likely tell if she likes them or not via the interactions between the primary sigs and the placement of the Moon. I am not sure a horary is necessary for your question, though. If you tasted the chocolates and they were bad, isn't that a good indicator that they didn't turn out well? You could also just ask the friend. It doesn't really help to know after the fact, since the gift has been made and sent. Ultimately, it is the thought that counts, though. Chocolate isn't assigned a planet, but sweet things are often assigned to Jupiter or Venus. I would more likely feel like Venus would signify a gift of chocolates and if ill dignified or afflicted otherwise, one would think they are not a great gift as usual as far as quality of the item. For example, turned 5th ruler Venus in the radical 12th or 8th in hard aspect with a malefic, etc. It would suggest damage to the goods. Right now Venus is opp Saturn already, so that makes me wonder about the gift even without a horary, such as bitterness or the object being dry. Often I do not need to form a question and just think about planets on a mundane level. I had a delivery of a handmade art object during the transit that was poorly made, for example. The object had an error in it (it was crooked). I noticed a rating for the artist by another buyer who had the same issue for the product, even though the artist normally had 5 star ratings. Mercury is retro and conjunct Mars too though and it was a shipment. Still, ultimately it was a Venusian thing. It is obviously still possible to make good gifts during difficult transits, but it helps to be aware of the planets and what errors might occur. In general, I check everything twice when Mercury is retrograde, and if I were making something Venusian when Saturn was opp it, I would be careful as well. Usually Mercury rx is a time where I catch everyone else's mistakes as well as my own for this reason. Quote Sat Jul 13, 2019 7:31 pm
3 by Serene Hi Tanit . Thank you for joining the thread and your insights. Well yes i agree this is a trivial kind of a question but i could not resist making a chart as i was feeling quite curious about it. So yes i agree i should ask her directly what she felt . it makes much more sense heheh :-D Still im putting the chart here for learning purposes since you have already put some precious time and effort in answering the question so i thought you might as well like to see the chart. Thing is i know she is the kind of a person who doesnt like their desserts very sweet and i know for certain that she loves dark chocolates so she doesnt mind them bitter as well. The ones i made today were okay overall but somewhat lacking in sweetness and with a slight bitterness which actually wouldnt have been perceptible had i added more sugar. Personally i would say they werent great but not bad either. I tasted one but was in a hurry so didnt have much time to consider and sent them anyways knowing her preferences for less sugar and dark chocolates. Good points about Venus Saturn hard aspect. So going by your suggestion i think the chocolates are shown here by Jupiter which also happens to be the turned 5th. I am not too sure if she should be given the 11th or the 7th in this chart . Probably she is showing up as Moon? She was/is a client who became friends later on. So i think 7th can also be considered for her. I am Saturn again in the 12th having mixed receptions towards her and the chocolates are shown by Jupiter (turned 5th). She will soon be applying to Jupiter in Jupiter's domicile so probably she will like them? With Ceres also at the 11th cusp i feel Jupiter itself must be the gift? I am planning to call her after she receives the parcel and post the outcome here. Edited to add: thanks for sharing about your experiences with the artwork you bought.very fitting. I recently read about it in another thread as well. Quote Sat Jul 13, 2019 9:06 pm
4 by Serene I would like to add that i did consider Venus as the significator for the chocolates but decided not to take it as the chocolates werent as sweet and lovely to look at as one would expect something Venusian. Jupiter fits well. They were ample and fatty and made with good cheer I also tried considering Jupiter as my friend's (who also happens to be a client) significator but decided against it as she isnt very Jovian in either looks or manners and also because if i take her as Jupiter then my sig would be in her fall which is very negative and not the way it is. But if i take her as the moon there is a mixed reception with Saturn being both in detriment and in the night triplicity of moon . This latter fits better to our relationship compared to the former where the receptions are purely negative. Infact i dont even think i should have been in her detriment but it is still understandable with the triplicity mixed in. Quote Sat Jul 13, 2019 9:52 pm
