Deb:

Pete,
Any astrology software program will do that. The chart calculation links page - http://www.skyscript.co.uk/cclinks.html - lists a number of links where you can find information on programs available. As well as programs you can buy on CD, there are some available as free downloads and also some that you can run straight off the internet without needing to purchase a program at all.

I'm wondering if you have specific needs for information that's not in a usual astrological chart format, such as listing Moon positions as tables? If so, please give more details.

5 years ago i trained greyhounds, i used a cd program to tell me where the moon was at the time of the race in which the greyhound was to run. i have updated my pc to windows xp and my old cd will no longer work.all i need to know is say, where the moon is (what star sign)at 20.00hrs friday the 29th august.wimbledon london.
i hope this makes sense.

Deb:

Any astrology program will include that information. As I say, there are some programs you can download for free, such as Astrolog http://www.astrolog.org/astrolog.htm
which won?t cost you anything, but I?ve never used it so I don?t know how easy it is to run and whether it is supported on Windows XP.

If you have frequent access to the internet and only need to know the Moon details for intermittent events, you can also use the free calculation services, such as Astrolabe http://alabe.com/freechart/ where you just enter the time, date and place and it will show the astrological chart with the Moon?s details included.

You are in the UK, so if you want to buy a program that is easy and convenient to use, I?d suggest calling John Etherington at Midheaven Bookshop (tel: 020 7607 4133) and asking his advice on what is available at what price, and the best option for your windows software, bearing in mind your limited needs. John is very helpful, sells all the main packages and can give you good, independent advice.
