I know that theater is a 5th house question but which house would be about a movie? It seems that Neptune would come into play as well. (although Neptune is not traditional - movies were not around when the traditional rules came up though)

Thanks

It doesn't matter if something was invented since the Renaissance, there are certain rules in traditional astrology that apply to certain things regardless of time.

For example, cars are modern, yet what are they? Carriages. The internet is more problematic since it can be for information or entertainment, but I would put it in the same class as books.

When you think of it, while we have new inventions, the actual things we do are just new ways to do old things.

Films are the 5th house IMO.

Books/publishing are 9th House activities.

The internet would be 3rd House (communication).

I think so. A film is a play, but unlike a play, it's preserved for posterity on a medium. Maybe you could look for a 5th/3rd house relationship.

It depends upon context. If the film is your professional product and the question concerns the prospect of success or public accalim, then it is 10th house.
