I could cry....

I was looking at the web site for the Canadian Association for Astrological Education. And came upon this quote in the bio blurb for their one horary teacher:

Classical astrology allows for the analysis of charts not connected to human beings or any other living creature. (emphasis mine). This makes it ideal for financial, business and political astrology. It is also very useful for analyzing event charts as well as mundane and weather charts.

Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Presumably what we do isn't suitable for human beings?

They need some education, all right.

Hi, Olivia

I read what he is saying as "traditional astrology allowsfor anything that requires a straight answer, and not psychobabling and talking about your client?s mother. This makes it ideal for financial, business and political astrology. It is also very useful for analysing event charts, as well as mundane and weather charts.

So, if you think about it, it is kind of a compliment.

I think it is just a clumsy sentence attempting to articulate an idea the writer doesn't fully grasp. I think he's saying that classical astrology uses techniques that are not nativities (gasp!) such as horary and elections. Therefore since the chart of no individual is involved it is more objective and more suitable for certain things than natal charts. An example might be, "Should I buy this stock?" Horary astrology allows this to be answered without reference to the nativity of the person asking the question and is more suitable for the task.

Like I said I think the sentence is clumsy.
