A) I only reported the origin of the word. It's yours.

B) If the word is reminiscent of fingernails on the chalkboard, you need to take it up with your ancestors. We follow your lead when it comes to the English language. We would have named it "kick ball" since we already had a sport with that appropriate name. But you gave it a name first.

C) The Love Boat? I don't know what that guy looked like so I don't know if that is a compliment or not. However there are no coincidences. That photo is a crop of a photo of my wife and I that was taken on a cruise ship. I was only a passenger however. I'm not even captain of the garage around here.

D) Does the real John Frawley of The Real Astrology fame know you're talking about him like this? He would never defend the use of the word "soccer."

I don't believe there is a real John Frawley. He's just a myth. Yes I've met someone claiming to be John Frawley a few times, and gave him a few tips about book covers the last time I saw him, but how do we know that was him and not you? We've never actually met you have we? And come to think of it, that photo you use does look suspiciously like an actor from Love Boat - did someone just say that?

Deb has such a curious way of meeting the important deadlines she keeps telling us about. Confused

All right Mr Saturn transit. It just so happens that I've thought a lot of thoughts today - unfortunately, all but the silly ones seemed to hurt me. Confused

Ah, forget the stupid old deadlines! The soul needs silliness . . . Like imagining The Love Boat displayed on the sides of city buses. It's a screamer, I tell you. Laughing You're going to have a hard time topping that one.

By the way, I don't remember anyone on that show coming down with those nasty cruise ship viruses that we hear about these days. Confused

Tis true. I comfort myself with the knowledge that it's possible to mess about in this forum and still manage to miss the deadlines

With this thread I've created a Frankenstein. Deb has far more talents that we were previously aware. I'm a mere ventriloquist.

It is a football thread: there was bound to be a dummy sooner or later.

The Octopus nailed it again. Germany upset Argentina. Chris may be right. It's time to chuck this astrology stuff and get to the octopus store.
