Dear skyPlux desktop users,

version 0.3.6 is now available which corrects some errors regarding the new feature which shows the planetary rulers and all the hour rulers for the day/night ("Pl. Time" activity). Some charts, essentialy the ones with morning hours, would show no hour ruler and the Almutem calculation wouldn't work also..

You can download the new version from http://www.skyplux.com/init/beta_testers (in the instructions for Beta testers).

Thanks,
Jo?o Ventura

Dear skyPlux users and friends,

I'm happy to inform you that skyPlux (traditional astrology application) has now a new redesign website, featuring a new and more modern looking style, with new images and icons. It is a simple and minimalist style which also aims to show that astrology applications UI (User Interfaces) do not need to be all cluttered and full of information which is distracting at best. Check the website at http://www.skyplux.com

Although some of you have been testing the desktop application, I would like to invite more of you to help beta-testing skyPlux desktop, and giving your suggestions. What features would you like to be included? Is the design going the wrong way? Is the application usable for professional traditional astrologers? Check the website ( http://www.skyplux.com/init/default/beta_testers ) for instructions on how can you download the app and get the login data. You can report errors or suggestions to skypluxweb@gmail.com or join the forum at http://www.skyplux.com/forum

New features of beta-version 0.4.0 include:
* Improved interface
* Capability of saving charts locally between sessions
* skyPluxAPI error corrections

Finally, skyPlux web application is still available at http://www.skyplux.com/skyPlux/, although it has errors that have been corrected at the desktop application. If you have been facing some errors, you can report to this email, but I strongly suggest to switch to the desktop version.

Hope you enjoy using skyPlux,

Dear skyPlux users and friends,

today I've released a new beta version of skyPlux Desktop (0.4.1) which you can now download from the website (http://www.skyplux.com/init/default/beta_testers). For those who still don't have the login credentials to use the application, just send me an email to skypluxweb@gmail.com with a suggested username/password and I will add your information to the system.

The 0.4.1 version has the following changes/features:

* Mac OS X release (Snow Leopard 10.6 and newer).
* Fixed bug in Home Location Settings.
* The Settings now includes Modern Set and Modern Set (with Chiron).
* Charts and tables can be exported as png images.
* Objects in profections can maintain their sign positions or not.
* Latitudes and Longitudes text inputs are now on the form 32N32'24 or 09W32 (more explicit).
* Text inputs are now validated while the user is filling the data and a popup appear to help with the correct input format.
* Many bug fixes.

I've made a small video where you can see some of these features. Check it at the Youtube skypluxweb channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/skypluxweb) or directly at (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC7jCWm6EC4).

For the users of the previous version (0.4.0), just delete it and unzip the new version. You will lose your data and settings, but from this version on, your data will be always in folder "/data" (Linux/Mac) or "\data" (Win), so you can copy that folder to the next versions and keep your data secure with you.

You can report errors or suggestions to skypluxweb@gmail.com.

I Hope you enjoy using skyPlux,

Dear skyPlux users and friends,

I've just uploaded a new beta version of skyPlux Desktop (0.4.2) which you can now download from the website (http://www.skyplux.com/init/default/beta_testers). For those who still don't have the login credentials to use the application, just send me an email to skypluxweb@gmail.com with a suggested username/password and I will add your information to the system.

The 0.4.2 version has the following changes/features:
* Fixed a bug on the calculation of the Day of Week.
* Planetary Hours are now presented for local timezone instead of UTC Time.
* Fixed a bug on the chart display when three planets were distanced less than 5 degrees.
* Planets on the right side of the chart now have their positions readable from left to right.
* Major rewrite of the source code and many more bug fixes.

For the users of the previous version (0.4.1), unzip the new version and copy the 0.4.1 folder "/data" (Linux/Mac) or "\data" (Win), which have your settings to the new version. Users of MacOSX must open the package folder, navigate to "Contents/Resources/lib/Python2.7" where you will find the "data" folder..

You can report errors or suggestions to skypluxweb@gmail.com.

I hope you enjoy using skyPlux,
