I have been studying a lot of charts and puzzling over natal Saturn Jupiter aspects, conjunctions squares and oppositions. They seem to have a particular power to manifest in the world.

I am not dismissing the trines entirely, but they are not useful for this purpose, they are background, somebody with a Saturn Jupiter trine may be always fortunate with money and resources and security, but they may take it for granted so much as to be unaware of that. Somebody with a Saturn Jupiter conjunction, eg John Lennon http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Lennon,_John in 13.5 degrees Taurus, will have noticeable effects when that conjunction gets a Solar Arc from a chart angle, in his case Ascendant at age 23 in 1962/3, and a hard transit, in his case IsisTranspluto in 13 degrees Leo in the 1960's, and another hit on the antiscion from IsisTranspluto in 17 degrees Leo in the late 1970's.

Then you have Bernie Madoff http://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Madoff,_Bernie who has Saturn and Jupiter in a 45 degree semi square. It is a few minutes more than the one degree orb I usually allow, but in my experience I have noticed Saturn doing this a lot.

A general question on Saturn Jupiter natal aspects, as Saturn and Jupiter are so antithetical, what does happen when these aspects are triggered by transits? Does Saturn dominate or Jupiter, or does some kind of mixture happen?
