Final Group Game Update

Frawley: 6/20 - 30%

Lehman Alt: 6/24 - 25%

Lehman True: 0/2 - 0%

hOur John: 13/24 - 54%

Didn't count Sunday group games as both kicked off at the same time.

Back for the knockout stages to test each method again, when no draws are possible.

Well done, John! :'
If it's not astronomically true, it's not astrologically true.

Right then, knock out stages...and no possibility of any draws!

15 high eminence, single games to test 5 methods.

I've thrown in 2 Vedic techniques into this part of the thread; ruling planet yogas (Yogada) and Bhava Bala (House cusp strength).

Still using Asc as Fav.

Will create new strike rate %'s after these 8 games, Monday evening.

Had some spare time, so thought I'd add in one final method.

Another Vedic process; Subha/Asubha yogas of the Asc/Dsc Rulers.

Saturnhead, thanks again for your contributions to this thread, I look forward to reading your quarter final commentary.

For myself, I have enough charts from recent weeks to refine what I'm already doing and will spend some time on this before the Football predictions notes go back 'on the shelf'.

Acknowledgement should go to all contributors of this Forum over many years, whose work and observations I have simply taken forward.

As for events last night, for me it was the Moon applying to the Lord of the 1st from its Fall, without other support, that moved the result away from what was expected. There are several other games from this Forum over past years that have raised this scenario before.

I considered this chart before knowing who would be playing this last 2nd round game. I was hoping England wouldn't finish 2nd in the group, then was hoping we would meet Portugal, again hoping they may be narrow favourites. That wasn't meant to be and was left unsure if to cheer or cry as Iceland scored and the prediction that I didn't want, went as I thought.

Overall, its been good fun.

Frawley is based on fav/ud, so should work for these matches, the fact that it only got 25% right calls into question the method. However the Lehman method is fundamentally a home/away method. While that might work for France, it has had to be modified to a fav/ud method for other matches.

As Lehman Alt only got 25% right, and there are no draws in the knockout stage, it means that it would have got 75% right if we had reversed the method of allocating the home/away prediction to the favourite/ud.

Might be worth considering.

Hi GB

Yes, I did ponder this yesterday. It would make more sense, as in her method, the 'challenger' is the Asc.

Surely a 'challenger' is the underdog when using fav/ud.
If it's not astronomically true, it's not astrologically true.

I haven't calculated the group stages for the Lehman Alt method using the Asc as the underdog (challenger), but it is now clear that this method is worthy of continued investigation.

I will no longer be working with Frawley's approach, or the Vedic techniques.

Huge thanks to both John and GB.

I enjoyed this thread immensely, and I hope it is of some use to anyone who works with sports astrology.

Good luck. :'
