A lorry has struck large crowds after Bastille Day celebrations in the southern French city of Nice, killing at least 84 people. This included 10 children. Some 202 people were injured; 52 are critical, of whom 25 are on life support.

Victims were of various nationalities including 20 Russians attending a local Cathedral.

It happened on the famous Promenade des Anglais after a firework display.
Prosecutors said Lahouaiej-Bouhlel had driven the lorry 2km (1.2 miles) along the Promenade des Anglais after mounting the kerb and fired at police before being shot dead. The truck, a rental vehicle according to local officials, was still where it came to rest, its windscreen riddled with bullets.

The French newspaper Le Figaro and Reuters news agency state the lorry ploughed into the crowds at around 22.30 local time (20.30 GMT/UT)

No terrorist group have so far accepted responsibility for the attack but the driver is assumed to have been a sympathiser of ISIS/Daesh. It is currently unknown whether the driver acted alone or not.

The attacker, identified by a police source as a 31-year-old Tunisian-born Frenchman called Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, was born in Sousse, Tunisia. Bouhlel held dual nationality. He was married with 3 children but going through a divorce.

Bouhlel, opened fire before police shot him dead. He had been known to the police for common crimes but not to the intelligence services, the source said.

The the 25-tonne truck zigzagged along the seafront Promenade des Anglais as a fireworks display marking the French national day ended just after 10:30 p.m. (2030 GMT).

The attack, which came eight months and a day after Islamic State gunmen and suicide bombers struck Paris on a festive Friday evening, seemed so far to be the work of a lone assailant.

President Hollande said in a pre-dawn address that he was calling up military and police reservists to relieve forces worn out by a state of emergency begun after the militant group killed 130 people in the French capital in November. 10,000 police, plus army reservists would be used. The current State of emergency which was due to end on 26 July will be continued for a further three months. France would step up its air operations against Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) in Syria and Iraq.

"France is filled with sadness by this new tragedy," he said. "There's no denying the terrorist nature of this attack of yet again the most extreme form of violence."

President Hollande called the tragedy on the day that France marks the 1789 revolutionary storming of the Bastille prison in Paris ''an attack on liberty by fanatics who despised human rights.''

Police were trying to establish whether the driver might have had any accomplices in a city with a reputation for Islamist activism. There had been no claim of responsibility on Friday morning.

The event chart for the attack has Saturn Rx on the MC. Saturn/MC are conjunct the fixed star Antares.

The angles of the chart are very close to the Cancer ingress located for Paris.

The Cancer ingress located for Paris also had Saturn Rx (lord 1 & 12) in conjunction with the MC in opposition to Mercury (lord eight). Moon in event chart was on the ingress Mars.

Looking at the planetary lines emanating from the Cancer ingress the Pluto line was very close to Nice.

The chart for the French First republic (21st September 1792) graphically shows transits activating it at the time of this attack.

Tr Mars conjunct 1792 Mars
Tr Moon on conjunct 1792 Mars
Tr Sun SQ 1792 Mars
Tr ASC on 1792 Pluto
Tr DESC on Uranus
Tr Sun SQ Tr Uranus

Quite so Simon. Thanks for pointing that error out. That will teach me to put up threads in the middle of the night! I have updated everything. Angles and Saturn on MC are almost identical and repeat theme in Cancer ingress. Main difference is the Moon position. More graphic now. Transiting Moon is on the ingress Mars degree. Moon also conjunct Mars in First republic chart.

Looking at the event chart let's look at the 5 hylegical places and see what's happening. The Sun trines Mars (malefic) and squares Uranus (unexpected events) The Moon conjuncts the same malefic Mars. The Ascendant sextiles Uranus. The Midheaven conjuncts Saturn (malefic) The Part of Fortune opposes Uranus. That is some stack of bad things together

In Aries Ingress of 2016, calculated on Paris, Mars is the MC and Moon in House 7 am Dezendenten. (Parans in ACG)

Mars - Moon = attack, attack on people
This is an annual picture.
In Eclipse (Eclipse) - Horoscope of 9 March 2016, Uranus is expected on IC (ACG) in Paris. Also valid for this year!
Given a Parans of Pluto! (AS)

In Ingress Cancer (2016), Saturn with Mercury in opposition bez. Saturn at MC! (ACG) projected to Paris.
In the declinations Saturn, Mars Venus, Pluto, Sun Mercury are at the time of the last assassination in almost the same degree (N and S - 20°/21°)
The MC of the Aries Ingress to Paris is 9 ° 40 SAG in the midpoint of Mars (4 ° 35) and Saturn (16 ° 22)! Neptune 10 ° 15 PISCES

The MC of the Nice-attack stands at 9 ° 33 and Saturn at 10 ° 27th

There is a birthdate from assassins.
With this lunchtime he has the Moonnode in conjunction with Mars and the Moon of the event!

For a birthtime with about1 hour lunch would also be the Descendant identical to the MC!

wolfgang,

wikipedia is saying 3rd of january, as opposed to the 31st..

based on the timing of the event, saturn at 24 scorpio seems a better fit then saturn at 27 scorpio..

opinion piece at moon of alabama that some might find relevant.

His French identity card confirms January 3rd 1985.

After the letter TUN at the bottom of the card is the DOB listing year (85), month (01) and date (03)

A noon chart for that DOB. Ignore angles/exact Moon degree.

Also a Bi-Wheel. As we have an approximate time for the attack (10.30 local time) I have put that chart in the centre. The untimed chart for the attacker is on the outer wheel.

His natal Saturn and South Node on the event Mars/Moon conjunction.

deleted, I didn't realise that Mark had posted the chart

The only things I would add are Phaethon at 16 degrees Gemini, antiscion 14 degrees Cancer, which is opposition his Sun, and IsisTranspluto at 20 degrees Leo.

The Noon chart has Moon at 29 Taurus. It would be something if an actual birth time put that Moon on Algol (piled up corpses).

I was also thinking that the very end of Taurus locates to the Pleiades star cluster which is of the nature of Mars according to Ptolemy and it has a fairly malefic reputation all of its own.

The moon/mars conjunction of the event chart is the place of his natal saturn/nodes position.

ever read Albert Camus' L'Etranger ... Camus was transcendental in grokking the North African sensibilities of the French colonists ... that 'yesterday, my mother died, or was it Thursday last" resonates as profoundly as Melville's "Call me Ishmael"
