I did read the signing up rules don't worry.

I just wanted to say something I have been thinking of. My chart does not have any sixth house influences aside from the south node. I have a lot of tenth house stuff and other things related to career in the more life path sense of the word but no sixth house aspects (I don't load up on asteroids, only Chiron).

I spent a few years unemployed. I was OK financially but it was extremely upsetting not being able to get a job, socialising far less, and being constantly tormented by the jobcentre. I also had loads of planets in the twelfth house that I always felt was working against me.

I only got a job, rather like clockwork when Jupiter entered the sixth house. Around August, just about when I would have a holiday (I have left every other job at holidays so I don't work the notice). Jupiter leaves the sixth house and leaves it empty. So I'm hoping that either something more positive comes along, or that I don't leave the job because I like it.

Just food for thought. Has anyone else had experience of overcoming transits?

I would put it differently. In modern astrology we can talk about choice-centered astrology, but I've seen some on-line arguments by Robert Hand that seem to express much the same thing.

Every planet, sign, and house has multiple manifestations that are consistent with its core meanings. Just for example, Mars rules athletes, soldiers, surgeons, steel, hot peppers, anger, inflammation, how a man understands his masculinity, and irritation. Which one is the correct interpretation depends on other horoscope factors (sign, house, aspects) but also on what one asks of the horoscope. Is this a medical question or a basic natal chart interpretation?

But suppose martial anger and irritability is a real problem for someone. Rather than biting people's heads off, maybe she could blow off a lot of steam by working out at the gym, with the side benefit of increased physical fitness. Mars is still Mars, but it expresses itself in a more empowering way.

The 6th house traditionally is about people who work for you, among other things. Modernly, it is your world of work, although the 10th house is about your vocation in life. We could see how Jupiter in your 6th house coincided with a job and the emotional and financial benefits it confers.

Also, if you have an empty natal 6th house, look at the planet that rules the sign on your 6th house cusp. It will have a lot to say, by its own situation, about the affairs of your 6th house.

So rather than "overcoming transits" see how you can work in a more empowering way with what you've got.

Hey, thankyou for the response!

Of course, it would be preferable at some point to be 'back on my path' however I do not see that as happening unless some major events influenced outside forces

One channeled material I greatly respect has stated flatly that rulerships are not accurate so I do not believe in them. However, the sun enters my sixth house when Jupiter leaves and then Mars does. It doesn't get truly empty until December 2017.

True Node is on the edge of my sixth going into my fifth (fifth has a stellium surrounding the sun), it sits on the edge of the house going direct and retrograde a few times before going in and I imagine that will be a time when things are getting "worked out" in some manner for me.

Why not experiment with house cusp rulers on a trial basis to see if they work? After all, whatever methods you have adopted to date got you to the point of your OP. You might also consider the weight of evidence of "one channeled material" vs. thousands of astrologers since ancient times. A good exposition of house cusp rulers is in Firmicus Maternus's book on astrology, Mathetheos Libri VIII written in the 4th century CE, and they've been in use ever since.

House cusp rulers (lords) are one of the foundations of horary astrology: you couldn't practice horary without them. They are worth getting to know.

The one argument to be made, so far as I can determine, is that the sign on the house cusp can vary, depending upon the house system used; and with it, the house ruler. So it's also worth trying different house systems to see what works best in your life. Also, modern astrologers would probably use modern rulers of Scorpio, Aquarius, and Pisces; while the trads would use the traditional sign rulers.

There are two ways to consider house cusp rulers so far as I know, which I picked up from books by the Dutch astrologer Karen Hamaker-Zondag and American Demetra George.

1. "The house over which a planet rules serves the purposes of the house in which that planet stands."

2. Think of the house cusp ruler as having authority offer the affairs of its house. It wants to help out. Whether it can do so powerfully and effectively or only weakly depends upon its own situation in the horoscope. Modernly, you'd probably focus on aspects. Traditionally you'd look at the cusp ruler's essential and accidental dignities (or lack thereof.)

Also, you might find secondary progressions or solar arcs to be helpful in looking at change over time in your 6th house, or other houses associated with job and career. There are more advanced prognostication methods, but these would move you beyond transits if you don't use them already.

Good luck with your job.

i get a kick out of folks talking about their chart, but being unwilling to actually share it... it is a fun thing, fishing in the dark with the little tid bits offered!!! bottom line that, is the chart is top secret, LOLOL!

at any rate, you do mention the south node in the 6th and a bunch of planets in the 12th... we are led to guess that maybe the north node is conjunction one of the planets in the 12th? i could spend a lot of time entertaining myself here, but i will just say - take a look into south node and learn a wee bit about what it might suggest about 6th house activities... if you want to accept some guru telling you planets rulering houses is irrelevant - hey, it is a free world.. a person can just about believe anything they want to!

12th house planets were transits.

The point of the post, and how I would experience things as a fifth house stellium, is that I share a thought and other people share their personal experience. So someone might say... Yes I had a transit to the eighth house of pluto, I was worried about people getting dodgy, but it turned out I stopped having sex it didn't turn into a fifty shades situation.

Or did a transit happen someone was worried about and then it turned out they wanted that transit when it did.

I thought the rules were quite clear that the point is not to offer advice on each others charts but to talk from an experienced perspective.

Secondly, the channeling that lead to my understanding of "rulership" was no small fish. There have only been two unconscious channelings, one was the Edgar Cayce and one was this one. It accurately explained highly technical scientific details that were not verified until years later. As far as I am concerned if the source says rulerships are not correct then they are not.

Looking closely at the human design chart you can see how planets actually influence the archetypal mind, and it is not with crude rulerships. The Human Design chart was another channeling that preceded scientific discoveries relating to the mass of neutrinos.

When I have considered rulerships previously I have felt an uncomfortable sense of trying to force it. My astrology is almost all fire signs. Out of the twelve major placements nine of them are fire signs. So there is a lot of intuition in how I approach things.

Transiting Mars is just leaving the second house, I have really felt money to be a fight recently. When transiting Mars enters the sixth house it should be interesting.

Assuming no mass change in our experience. As political change will one day create I have no doubt.

Well it sprang to mind that a planet in a cusp strongly affects a house, but a few minutes later that planet will be in the previous house,so I wonder why Ptolemy said a planet 5 degrees from the cusp was so powerful.

Phoenix, how about enlightening us on this mysterious channel that you haven't named? Is the material on the Internet so we can read it for ourselves? It would be interesting to see the exact wording regarding rulerships in the context of the message(s). Thank you.

Here we go then, probably not of much interest here but at least it is the same area... Getting to grips with these transits. Almost 2000 word blog on the subject (with a few paragraphs on aliens for good measure):

My personal chart is in here as well. If anyone was interested:

phoenix,

thanks for sharing the link with your chart on it..

i am not sure how you gain more insight into yourself, or your chart, but i admire the fact you are interested.. unfortunately others insights aren't as valuable as the ones you figure out on your own. keep on seeking the truth and to know yourself better and hopefully life will become easier.

the nodal axis with north node in aries in the first sign, but 12th house area of the chart reinforces all the fire in your chart... the south node in libra in the 6th area highlights the difficulties you appear to be having ( work and relationship themes).. i see the nodal axis squares onto neptune which is on your midheaven.. actually neptune is the most angular planet in your chart, complicated further by being fairly close to square the nodal axis..

being of service to others and not seeking reward for any of it will be hard for a person with so many planets in fire, in particular leo, but i think it is the way for you to explore here.. let go seeking the ideal situation work wise, although working for yourself would look to me to be more of an ideal situation.. i would explore working in some kind of neptunian - healing, serving, health - spiritual health - these kinds of areas... you are handicapped by lacking air - objectivity.. instead of trying to figure out what others do or don't think, be very clear on how you think and what it is you are trying to do..

you are still young - late 20's... orient yourself to being of service to others in some type of context.. relationships are generally going to be challenging for you, given lack of air, square of venus to pluto and etc. etc.. find some type of work if possible where you are leading your own work.. i know how difficult it is to find this.. some folks never do!

fire can be very generous and it is one of it's strengths.. so long as you don't seek personal recognition for any of it, some kind of work where you are being of service to others is the way to go... moon is applying to your first house jupiter rising - all good! stay positive and in terms of understanding yourself - astrology is a good way to go.. treat it like a long journey.. mercury square onto jupiter is a challenging aspect.. critical thinking is especially important and you are going to have to work especially hard on this as i see it.

ps - hopefully you are involved in some creative type work, even if it is only for pleasure... the sun and etc. in leo in the 5th sign and house, combined with moon, saturn and uranus in the 5th house from the sun strongly emphasize this as does the emphasis on fire...

cheers james

Phoenix this is kindly meant as a word of warning. From my own very unpleasant experience I would be extremely careful about "channelled" material.

I quote Emanuel Swedenborg (and he should know !) :-

"Spirits narrate things wholly false, and lie. When spirits begin to speak to man, care should be taken not to believe them, for most everything they say is made up by them, and they lie; "

Also Edgar Cayce was wrong about a number of things. Several predictions he made never came to pass.

I am very sceptical about such material and take everything with a hefty pinch of salt !

Hello all.

I had not thought to return here the forum was kind of quiet when I originally came.

To put it simply, my actual best path for myself is music however I had a very bad experience that normies would call "schizophrenia" and I have to stay away from such things.

The 6th house Libra south node is "service to others". The North node is the mystical twelfth house place for something like music.

On Edgar Cayce, I am well aware that Edgar made a few off predictions. The spirit that made them identified itself as having done so, it was not the source for the Cayce readings.
