transiting mars

Hey Rocko:

Best to let us know what houses rules Taurus and Scorpio in your natal chart, or else, it's like spitting on the ceiling.

I have a Venus Pluto transit going on, myself.

Venus co-rules my natal 10th and Pluto co-rules my 4th house. T. Pluto is trining my natal Venus in the 10th house of career.

I am returning to my past, my past career of some 30 years !

On Tuesday, I sent out a resume to a job opening, on-line, for no good reason, just for the h*ll of it? And, lo and behold, the guy calls me the next day and wants me to work for him !

I never expected this offer in a million years, actually. I thought that my previous career in (XXXXX) was toast. However, you can never say never, I guess !

T. Mars is currently in Cancer, a sign of its detriment, and also, is combust the Sun. NOT GOOD !

However, in my humble opinion, if your natal planet is well aspected, then you have nothing to worry about the transit. The natal chart planet's good aspects essentially overrules the negativity of the current transit.

However, t. Mars in Cancer is currently = my natal Part of Fortune, a very fortutious transit. So, let us see where the donkey takes us, shall we.

My Solar Return chart is killer, do check out, yours ! In my SR for 2017, Mercury is exactly conjunct the SR Gemini MC, while Virgo is rising.

The SR Virgo rising degree conjoins my natal 3rd house. My previous work is transportation.

SP Mercury is also dignified in Gemini, in its own sign, so the Solar Return tells the story.

But, I must add that my secondary progressed natal Mercury (also, in Virgo) is retrograde. When SP Mercury is retrograde, one definition is that it brings the "past" back to you.

Things and circumstances that you once thought were important, come back to you, to re-establish their importance in your life.

The retrograde planets definitely have a boomerang effect in the natal chart !

Interesting post:
My secondary progressed mercury went retrograde when I was about 12 years old and it rules my 7th and 9th houses. It turned direct about 3 years before I married my husband.
My solar return in August 2016 was great! I had all these planets including jupiter in my 9th house--I went on a trip to australia and new zealand in september 2016 and it was great! Now the 2017 solar return is another story: Neptune is closely conjunct the ascendent, and it widely opposes mercury in virgo and is very widely square saturn in the 10th house????

Also, I really wonder about the august eclipse which is conjunct my natal sun--which natally is conjunct my 9th house cusp. Transiting mars also conjuncts natal venus in the 8th house and squares my natal mars in the 11th house--we will see. AMY

What is the significance in the Taurus-Scorpio axis for the Mars transit? I don't understand the link.

Hi there:

If Mars and Pluto are active in the natal chart, (such as mine) then why not use the Taurus Scorpion axis.

I advise my students of astrology to avoid, "one shot, one kill" astrology. Therefore, the transit of Mars in Cancer must be compared with other transits going on, in both the natal chart and the relocated natal chart.

Yes, it's not simple and for a good reason.

The reality is that Mars and Pluto are "cousins," since Pluto is a higher octave of Mars. Therefore, it is a super Mars, according to some. Using this logic, then the transit of Uranus in Aries, a super octave of Mercury, must also be related to Mercury's current transit in Leo.

In my opinion, planetary octaves bring accidental dignification into the picture.

Today, the transiting Moon was in Aries, in mutual reception with Mars in Cancer. Some say the deficiencies brought on by Mars in Cancer can be resolved through the mutual reception.

I had an unexpected automobile break-down, earlier today. However, thanks to my knowledge of cars, I fixed the problem, myself, therefore saving myself several hundreds of dollars, including a tow-truck. Several good samaritans came to help me. It was a great day !

My Mars and Pluto are bi-quintile, natally. So, I have a talent for fixing things. Others may not be so lucky.

Some say that Mars and Pluto square is the chart of a murderer. One can murder people, or you can fix things.

Perhaps, folks, if you are not part of the solution, then, you are really part of the problem !

Good night from the land of lakes and forests.
