Pingree on 'continuous horoscopy'

1
David Pingree coined (as far as I know) the term 'continuous horoscopy' to cover all manner of predictive techniques, and used it in many places in his writings. It has since been picked up by other scholars.

I recall a particular remark of Pingree's (in print) to the effect that 'continuous horoscopy' was invented in order to ensure clients' continued need of astrological consultations, but I have been unable to find it. If anyone happens to know where it is, I'd be obliged for the reference.

it that why shlomo sela named his parallel hebrew-english critical edition of abraham ibn ezras 'the book of nativities' and 'the book of revelations' as 'abraham ibn ezra on nativities and continuous horoscopy?
