Lest anyone be misled, this text isn't about the astronomical constellations. Harking back to the middle of the last century, some western sidereal astrologers of the Fagan school persist in calling the sidereal signs "constellations." This goes back to the discovery of the sidereal zodiac by Cyril Fagan when the sidereal zodiac was basically unknown in the west. To distinguish the sidereal signs from tropical signs, early followers of Fagan called the sidereal signs "constellations."

This short book by James A. Eshelman persists in using that term for the sidereal signs and refers to the Fagan-Bradley (S.V.P.) ayanamsa. This text is one person's understanding of sidereal signs and doesn't take into consideration historical developments such as translations from the Hellenistic and Medieval periods. These seem to be unknown to the author. The text is wholly psychological, following the modern tropical type of interpretation on signs of the zodiac.
