Mars in 6th. 1 by Yuriy I?ve found an interesting configuration in horary about job perspectives. Scorpio MC and ruler Mars in 6th house in Cancer in close trine to MC. So, definitely Mars is detriment in Cancer, but its dignified by being in house of joy, in trine to MC and in reception with Moon, Cancer ruler. Moon at the beginning of Libra in 8th, applying only to strong Saturn (13 degree off), where Saturn ruling Capricorn AC. Quote Wed Aug 31, 2011 11:01 pm
by junibus that is very funny. I had a client asking me if she would get a job that she applied for. I found the same configuration, the MC and mars were applying trine thus i said that she would get the job, and she did. although she changed her mind and told them she doesnt want it. Maybe the moon was slow. thats the only reason i could think of for her chaning her mind. I wish i saved the chart now... errr sincerely jun Sincerely Jun Quote Wed Aug 31, 2011 11:18 pm

How did that chart reflected timing of event? How many degrees that trine was off and how soon she got offer? Quote Thu Sep 01, 2011 12:21 am
by junibus In this case, timing was not the issue. The company already made a deadline for application and it also announced a date when they were going to let the accepted applicants notified. In this kind of case, I refrain myself from judging timing. If there was signs of delay, I would have told her that the she will receive a notice later than the set date. This was not the case. As you know, timing is not exactly accurate. If moon beholds jupiter by applying trine within 10 degrees, say they were in movable signs, it might signify 10 days depending on the context. I have found that many times this fails. Moon and jupiter trine often means acquisition of money, property etc. Clients will get some money, for sure, AROUND 10 days, but not exactly on the 10th day from when the horoscope was cast. sometimes it happens on the 10th day but sometimes on 9th or 11th or 8th or 12th. It could be due to my ignorance and lack of experience, but I believe the timing method in horary is a very close and reliable ESTIMATIOn. some may disagree with me and if so, please educate me. going back to your question, the degree of the 10th cusp was less than the degree of mars. The cusps move very fast. Well, they dont exactly move but the zodiac passes these cusps very fast, faster than moon. So the cusp is the one appling to a planet according to Robert Zollar. For example, mars in 10th of cancer and 8th of scorpio on MC. The MC cusp will change to 10th of scorpio in a matter of few minutes. Thus it is equivalent to applying trine. If 12th of scorpio on MC cusp be, mars is not fast enough to catch up and for that matter any other planets cant. because 12th of scorpio on MC cusp will rapidly change to 13th, 14th, 15th and so on of scorpio. sincerely Jun Sincerely Jun Quote Thu Sep 01, 2011 10:41 pm
by junibus just one more thing. I think she changed her mind because mars was in his detriment and thus even if there was an connection that the bussiness would pass, she denied the position. I think mars was too weak to bring the matter to pass however, she did get accepted because of the appling trine, i think Sincerely Jun Quote Thu Sep 01, 2011 10:44 pm
by Yuriy Thank you Jun. Initially I was also curious about if that Mars position in house of it's joy can absorb his essential debility somehow (alone with trine, reception with Moon, etc.). Quote Fri Sep 02, 2011 12:10 am
by junibus yes, 6th is where mars rejoice and this should abate the malice of his influence. however, what i think is that thats pretty much only thing thats nice about him. however im not even sure if i should call this 'nice' also with malefics' rejoycing is a bit touchy subject. saturn in 12th often creates monks, or even a laymen practicing asceticism in one way or another. They on purpose over burnden themselves with labors and reserve them from human contacts. They just love doing that. Im not sure if that is a good thing. this could be good however, saturn in 12th, although he is rejoycing would bring native whole bunch of problems. uprising of slaves, back stabbing, reduced to slavery, loss of freedome etc. Malefics are evil and all they want to do is harm. That is the rational behind saturn rejoycing in 12th and mars in 6th. From this i believe rejoycing malefics are not motivated to do good with few exceptions. Mars in 6th will make the native very skillful in profession dealing with fire, and metal tools plus physical labor. Mercury with mars in 6th creates a good surgeon lilly says and i have noticed it often. however, he will also cause illness, uprising of slaves, perils, potentially deformity. and these are not my words but from Firmicus. There are some advantages from malefics rejoycing however, i believe the risk is far greater than any gains. sincerely jun Sincerely Jun Quote Fri Sep 02, 2011 3:40 am
by Yuriy Thank you Jun for your so profound analysis. I?ve got through some practical training/problem solving at some traditional forum, and was told that position in house of joy makes planet accidentally active almost like it would be in angular house. So, idea is that Mars, afflicted in Cancer, in 6th becoming express more freely whatever it poses, strength or malice. Not sure the source, but some traditional text states that 12th house is the only place where Saturn is harmless. Not sure about Mars in 6th, the people I know with that position are very into diets and gym attending. Quote Fri Sep 02, 2011 2:40 pm
by junibus Thank you for calling my little piece of knoweldge "profound." Always happy to be a help. As you said, I know some astrologers say mars and saturn rejoycing abates their malice. Pretty much mars and saturns are gangs and criminals of the sky. Thus they are happy when the are in brothels, shaddy bars, corner of the street, projects with high crime rate. They are evil thus they like to be in evil places such as 6th and 12th. I believe these bad guys are happy in bad places because they can do bad stuffs. Firmicus doesnt seem to think malefics rejoycing any good. Maybe mars love being in 6th and his debility may be amiliorated, however, im not sure if this is good enough to make him fortunate. I mean, him being in detriment makes him a strong (or stronger) open hinderer from the get go based on Bonatti's discription. Thus I am not sure if malefics rejoycing abates their evil influences. Im not disagreeing with it, but I am not sure about if that is true. I mean bad guys in a bad places is a perfect condition for a crime to happen. So i dont think it would do any good for either the querent or the native. If you could find me a reference that asserts the evils of malefics are abated when they are rejoycing, that would be a good learning for me. I know what you are talking about, because Ive heard it from somewhere too. I cant pinpoint the sources. You have said "So, idea is that Mars, afflicted in Cancer, in 6th becoming express more freely whatever it poses, strength or malice." I think I agree much with this idea. Mars is a bad guy, and a bad guy in a place where he can freely express himself would be bad. I think rejoycing planets indicates what the native "enjoys." I have detriment venus in 5th. I was a exotic dancer, well sort of a stripper. I loved it and not shamed of it. I really loved it. However, I am hesitant to say that planetary joy is such a great dignity although it is a considerable dignity (with the exception of malefics in my opinions). If someone has a essentially dignified venus in 5th, this is definitly good. However, has this venus been in 10th or 1th, the native would be blessed with much fortunes, prosperity, happy marriages, happy childrens and so forth. We can say the same thing about Exalted Sun. Would you prefer to have it in 9th or 10th? 9th is his joy but has this sun been in 10th, the native will be famous, powerful, respected, achieve great prosperity and many people will bow down to him. Your friends with joyful mars loving excercise and diets is quite insightful. Can you tell me more about them? Do they love marsian stuffs? are they fierece fighters and debaters? do they love sweating and are they often in a situation where they must sweat by purposely burdening themselves with labors? I mean in general i think mars in 6th makes the native a hardworker or and loves to sweat (a figurative speach) My mom is a workaholic, and she has an office job, but she travels often. Even at home she is constantly cleaning thus she sweats a lot. One of my student has mars in 6th, and she works all the time. She does much of promotion works for her business, so she often works at a mall handing out pamplets and ballons. This job is so tiring for her, and obviously sweats a lot. I think the bottom line is that mars in 6th seems like they love(or at least they dont mind) sweating and hard labors, and they purposly burden themselve with such things... I want to know if you think of the same. Sincerely Jun Quote Sat Sep 03, 2011 1:17 am
by Yuriy Well Jun, not going too far, my wife has Mars in 6th and Saturn in 12th (all together!). Moreover Moon conjuncts Mars in Sagittarius in 6th in her chart. So, with Gemini AC and Leo Sun she?s a typical choleric. At work place she?s like me (my 6th in Aries and Mars in 10th), we can sit for hours doing almost nothing, than for couple hours to accomplish the great amount of tasks, others would do for days. Also she?s so into fitness, following different kinds of diets, etc. But, being choleric, she?s often so drained off energy, have low blood pressure. In the morning she can?t get herself turned on to normal condition without a big mug of very strong coffee (may be like eight doses of doppio espresso). Also while walking the street she can?t pass a singe walking dog without expressing all highest degree of excitement, admiration, etc. People just getting happy that some stranger impressed of their pets so much. Pets are 6th house related too. Well, Saturn in her 12th isn?t so directly obvious. Saturn in Taurus pointing also on me (I?m Taurus) and by dispositors thread getting to her 7th ruler Jupiter in 5th. Jupiter in Libra and Saturn culminates there. Also her MC in Aquarius and Saturn ruling. The 10th house also represents mother figure, and her mother very Saturian, over warring, controlling, etc. Quote Sat Sep 03, 2011 2:18 pm
by Edith I know that this post would probably be more appropriate for the natal forum but I have found a lot of natives with Mars in the 6th being plagued by issues to do with the alimentary system. Anything from Crohn's to stomach ulcers to coeliac symptoms and a whole host of other afflictions. Nothing life threatening but still fairly serious stuff, in varying degrees. I have not investigated this properly, nor have I tried to match the disorder with the sign or aspects Mars is in; this is just a general observation, for what it's worth. 12 by Tanit Regarding abating the malefics, it's difficult to put a malefic anywhere, right?! It seems like I am constantly seeing this problem, particularly in event planning. This has been talked about endlessly in the traditional forum and there is also a post on Mars in the 6th, as well as several on Mars in Cancer, in the natal forum. You don't want them angular, or even perhaps succeedent, because it gives them too much accidental power, yet you don't want them in a "negative" house because it brings out their more negative characteristics. The Joys of Saturn and Mars are certainly not joyful places, as others were mentioning - the 12th house of sorrows and the 6th house of disease? They are some of the worst areas of the chart holding the most difficult planets. Cadency can bring down any planet's ability towards action or power, which for malefics can be a good thing, but I wouldn't think as much if they are still afflicting key players in the chart and are not mitigated by the benefics. They can hold some influence via aspects. There have been recent times that you would see Saturn rising up in the 12th in a night chart (out of sect) when all other planets were below the horizon and Saturn was reigning from above them - certainly not a pretty site, as were the horaries that were asked around those times. Or really even when he is afflicting a key planet, such as the ASC ruler, from that 12th house placement. Those are some difficult, depressing charts. Regarding the potential "evil" of Saturn in the 12th, I often think of David Berkowitz and Ted Bundy, who both had Saturn in the 12th aspecting Mars and Pluto, combining their malevolency most likely, and the ASC ruler (or the ASC ruler was Mars), and Saturn afflicting Venus. The "evil" in natal charts can still be seen in other chart types. But back to the main topic - here's a thread on the 6th vs. 10th for work: http://www.skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewt ... highlight= And Mars in the 6th (Joy): http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5624 Quote Thu Sep 15, 2011 2:32 am
