Oppositions vs Chinese Astrology

1
Hi

Not sure this is the right forum for this but...
In bazi chinese astrology a cold chart (born in winter months) is supposed to have fire and wood as useful deities.
Yet this is like saying that for capricorns and aquarius, july and august are the best months of the year. Rat clashes horse ,sheep is 150 degrees from rat, which according to hellenic astrologers is the worst aspect as there`s nothing in common betwen these signs.
Even though horse clashes rat it is supposed to warm the chart, same for sheep.
Or maybe oppositions and squares, inconjunctions (aries, taurus are wood months) aren`t as bad as some people say.!?

We have a forum devoted to Chinese astrology. Your post belongs there. Chinese astrology and traditional astrology found in Europe and the Middle east are completely different systems. Having said that I remember hearing a talk on Bazi by Derek Walters once. He observed that the system shows influences from Indian astrology via the silk road. In particular the general incompatibility of animal signs opposing and harmony in a trine relationship. But I wouldn't push the analogy too hard. There are bound to be significant differences too. There is no reason to assume the hellenistic notion of signs in aversion transmitted too.
